چکیده

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, recurrent, itchy, inflammatory skin disease. The coexistence of anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal problematic in AD. Although an association between AD anxiety depressive behavior has been observed humans few mouse models, the detailed mechanisms are unknown. To address this issue, we analyzed mental state mice using models. We sensitized with 3% oxazolone (OXA) then repeatedly applied 0.6% OXA to ears 3 times per week for 4 weeks. In these mice, auricule changed AD-like appearance, scratching was observed. Followingly, conducted behavioral tests evaluate depression anxiety. evaluated by open field test light/dark transition test, forced swim tail suspension test. showed anxiety-like whereas control did not. No significant difference found other three tests. hypothesized that itching atopic cause behaviors mice. question, focused on IL-31, cytokine strongly associated IL-31 administered continuously at dose 2μg day weeks osmotic pump behavior. IL-31-treated severe alopecia. tendencies no differences were tendencies, which consistent results OXA-induced model. These findings suggest induced model, possibly via IL-31-induced pruritus.

Association of LL-37 and IL-31 serum levels with SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) score in atopic dermatitis patients

Background: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, recurrent inflammation of the skin, accompanied by severe pruritus. Immune system dysregulation and skin barrier defects are associated with the abnormalities in atopic dermatitis. Myriad pieces of evidence have pointed to the major roles of LL-37 and interleukin-31 (IL31)in atopic dermatitis. The studies on atopic dermatitis are still limited i...

A Herbal Formula, Atofreellage, Ameliorates Atopic Dermatitis-Like Skin Lesions in an NC/Nga Mouse Model.

We evaluated the anti-atopic dermatitis (AD) effect of Atofreellage (AF), a herbal formula composed of 10 medicinal plants. AD was induced on the dorsal skin areas of NC/Nga mice (male, seven weeks old) by daily application of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) for five weeks. After three weeks of DNCB application, 200 μL of AF (0, 25, 50 or 100 mg/mL) was applied to the skin lesions. Histological...

Atopic dermatitis model of itching behavior in hairless mice

In atopic dermatitis (AD), severe itching and scratching not only impacts the patient's quality of life, but also exacerbates the disease; however, the precise underlying mechanisms of itching in AD remain elusive. We have previously reported a special diet-induced, mouse model of AD. This article reviews the characteristics of the model, and the chronological and pharmacological analyses of th...
